Sarah Lucy Smith, a recent Eco-Design graduate based in London is adding a new facet to vintage clothing. In part she is transforming floral dressed into underwear!
Her idea is that women like to express themselves through their underwear and she has created a collection for environmental activists. Her underwear is made from materials such as hemp, organic cotton and recycled silk.
Part of her range declares support environmental causes such as ‘Eat Organic’, ‘Stop Deforestation’ and ‘Cycle More’ with a specially padded rear just to help you along.
In addition she has undies, and yeah I really want a pair, made from special pigments. The patterns on these include leaves that change from green to autumnal red and then fade altogether. Another pair has globes painted in thermal pigments so that as the knickers warm up so the land masses disappear and the world is covered in water.
Seeking to push down greenhouse gasses by whats down there...works for me. Check them out at Greennickers
